The PBA – The RIGHTs Connection kicks off

Today we are launching a project we have been working intensively on over the past few months: the Partnership Building Activity (PBA) "The Rights Connection". From today until 11 May, we are in Coma-ruga with 15 representatives from organisations across Europe to share good practices in the fields of youth work and Human Rights Education (HRE).

The aim of this gathering is to create a space for reflection to explore new methodologies, strengthen ties, and design joint responses to current social challenges.

More than a seminar, the meeting has been conceived as a collaborative work platform to translate our shared values into strategic alliances and concrete projects within the framework of the European Erasmus+ programme. In a European context that constantly challenges us, AHEAD is driving this process to strengthen civil society organisations committed to inclusive democracy, active participation, and human rights.

To achieve this, the working axes for this week are:

  • Creating a European cooperation space: Bringing together organisations working in Human Rights Education and inclusive democracy, generating a shared space for dialogue, trust-building, and collaboration on a European scale.

  • Fostering mutual learning and practice exchange: Promoting peer learning through the exchange of youth work methodologies and experiences that support democratic participation and civic engagement.

  • Developing synergies and joint project ideas: Encouraging the creation of concrete project ideas and strategic alliances for future cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme.

  • Strengthening sustainable alliances: Reinforcing long-term cooperation among participating organisations, enabling meaningful follow-up actions beyond the duration of this activity.

  • Exploring future Erasmus+ opportunities: Sharing information and reflections on current and upcoming programme priorities, supporting strategic planning for the next phases.
