On the Celebration of the International Migrants Day and in frames of the Project of Strengthening Social Cohesion and Capacity of Local, Refugee and Migrant Young People by creating STEM/STEAM Areas (S-COH-S), together with the Office of the European Commission in Barcelona we organised a Dialogue around the opportunities of Inclusion and Cohesion.
The event took place on the 15th of December 2022 and brought together representatives from youth and migrant organisations, the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), Barcelona local authorities, the Catalan administration and other civil society organisations. Núria González i Duch from AHEAD made a brief presentation regarding the main objectives from the project and explaining the STEM/STEAM concept. As well as what has already been done and what has to be done.
All of the present associations and different actors had the chance to talk about their experiences. After that, Ljuba, one of the members of our team, facilitated the last part of the event, with the aim to exchange opinions and questions among all the participants. The Dialogue provided a space for organisations and stakeholders to meet and share inclusion projects. It was the opportunity to participate in an exciting dialogue and continue fostering alliances to promote strategic actions and to continue defending inclusion and human dignity in Europe.
Project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission
