Aim and objectives
The aim of the project was to cultivate interaction between people from different socio-cultural backgrounds in order to prevent discrimination, social labelling and combat stereotypes.
Project Objectives:
• Develop the ability and interpersonal communication of the inmates, aged 18-21 years, for a period of two years, in order to form a homogeneous and functional group.
• Increasing the active involvement of young women in the prison, aged 18-21 years over a period of years;
• Raising awareness and accountability of public authorities and civil society to include young people in activities and projects they carry;
• Develop solidarity and tolerance among young women coming from prison and the community to contribute to the reduction of discrimination, social exclusion and social disparities, labelling of imprisoned young women.

Fantasia was an initiative designed after an academic visit to the Women Penitentiary Târgşor in Prahova County. On 30 March 2011 we have established the artistic workshop named "Fantasia", an activity that took place over a period of two years. The project used practical ways of supporting and developing the social and artistic skills, which contributed to the development and enhancement of interpersonal relationships of the 12 inmates.

Outcomes Outcomes
This presentation it will enable human rights practitioners to have a clear approach of the right of inmates to access educational and cultural programs in the penitentiaries.
