Dialogue with the European Commission

From the 3rd till the 5th of June 2024, a team of representatives from diverse Catalan organisations, working for Global Justice, had the chance to visit the European Institutions and dialogue with representatives of the DG  INTPA (International Affairs), DG ECHO (Humanitarian Aid) of the European Commission, the European External Action Service and the Development Committee of the European Parliament.

These series of Dialogues were organised by AHEAD in the frames of the project "Listening Houses in the Democratic Republic of Congo" coordinated by the League of Peoples' Rights with the support of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation.

The diverse encounters and dialogues served to explore the latest developments on the agenda of the General Directorates of the European Commission and raise concerns and questions about the situation of civil society, specially in Congo, and the political contradictions on the diverse policies of the European institutions and the role that dialogue should play in addressing these challenges in a coordinated way with the Global Justice organisations.
