The Government of Catalonia, through the Catalan Forum for Peace, has launched a participatory process to develop the Country of Peace Plan, an initiative aimed at promoting public policies that foster global justice and peaceful coexistence.

Under the slogan "Less violence, more global justice", this process will occur throughout 2025, with 10  sessions across Catalonia.

The Country of Peace Master Plan will not only define the Generalitat's actions regarding peace but will also be shaped by citizen participation. To ensure inclusivity, three deliberative channels have been established:

• Deliberative sessions in cities like Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona, focusing on five key themes: Peace culture, Security and justice, Conflicts, violence and peace, Global threats and challenges, and Women, peace and security.

• Self-managed sessions, organised by entities like AHEAD to deepen discussions on specific topics.

• Online contributions, where citizens can submit suggestions via the official website.

This process seeks to bring diverse voices together, encourage meaningful debate, and collectively shape Catalonia's future as a territory of peace and coexistence. The results of these sessions will serve as the foundation for the Country of Peace Master Plan, which will be presented to Parliament for approval.
